About this Product

Embrace the coastal allure with our Florida Seashell necklace—a piece of seaside magic delicately encased in glistening Copper wire. This captivating Transverse Ark shell, adorned with intricate etchings courtesy of parasitic worms, embodies the whimsical touch of nature. Discovered along the stunning gulf coast of Florida in 2012, this shell has been meticulously wrapped to accentuate its unique details.

Measuring a graceful 19.25 inches and secured with a sturdy Stainless Steel Clasp, this necklace is more than an accessory; it's a wearable piece of oceanic charm. Let the warmth of the copper wire and the coastal essence of this exquisite shell keep the ocean close to your heart throughout the year. Elevate your style with the enchanting beauty of our Florida Seashell necklace, perfect for every beach lover.

*Due to screen variances, colors may not be accurately represented.

**NOTE** This chain may contain trace amounts of Nickel. If you are allergic to Nickel, please let me know in your order notes and I will replace the chain with a Suede cord. Though this wire is coated, the coating will wear in time, exposing the Copper underneath. Swimming or bathing with this necklace will cause the coating to wear away faster. If the Copper is exposed and beings to cause a reaction, you can protect yourself by using a product like SkinGuard.

Meet the Maker

Hello! My name is Leha, and I am the artist for The Greene Bead. I specialize in wire wrapped and Polymer Clay jewelry, and I also create miniature fairy garden Trinket Dishes and wire wrapped gemstone tree sculptures. I try to use as much naturally derived product as I can, including all genuine gemstones, mined locally here in Wisconsin, Illinois and from around the world. Some of my pieces even include upcycled items such as vintage beads, crystals and buttons!

My journey began back in 2010 as a way to create new jewelry for myself, a broke college student, by taking apart jewelry I already owned and piecing it back together to create new items. One of my roommates at the time saw what I was doing and asked me to create a few pieces for him, and that's how this all started!

After many years of practice and improvement (I'm still improving everyday!), I've come to the point in my journey where I can start giving back. I've created many pieces to be used in silent auctions to raise money for my high school, my hometown library, benefits for friends and family to help with medical bills, and even Parkinson's research and Veterans' Assistance programs.

Last, but certainly not least, it is my personal goal to make sure each and every item I create for you is completely unique and that you are 100% satisfied with your order. Please feel free to message me with any questions, comments or concerns! I wish you all the best in your endeavors to find that perfect gift for yourself or someone you love.

How it’s Made

This shell is go intricate that I really wanted to keep this piece as simple as possible. I used a black rubery coated Copper wire to secure the shell, and a Stainless Steel plated toggle claps. Chain material is unknown, and is detailed in the description.

A friend made me a very special pendant that required a very special chain. I love handmade chains, and Telleha at The Greene Bead made me the most beautiful custom-made sterling silver chain! I wish I could post a photo. The quality of her work is beyond words! Thank you, Telleha! ♥♥

Purchased 2 rings and both were stunning. Prettier in person than I imagined they would be. Well packaged and arrived quickly.
